EDITORIAL As another year comes to a close it is time to reflect on our achievements. Our membership has steadily increased and now stands at about 110. We have reverted to the printer used by John Skillcorn, JASPRINT from Washington, with a very noticeable improvement in quality. Whilst most Newsletters have been bigger, there are still very few members who are actually contributing. Please take the time to write a few words on your views of the Group and new members, a bit about yourselves. The Show in Nottingham was a success but due to interference by the Captive Animal Preservation Society the attendance was much lower than anticipated. It is planned to hold another Show in June 2001 at the same venue, with further details appearing in the next Newsletter. We are working on a Beginners Guide in the format of the Newsletter, utilising the colour centrefold of our last issue. I would particularly welcome more input from members, particularly in relation to Mantellas. More colour Newsletters are planned but I have very few photos to choose from, except my own. Please send photos for future use (by E-mail is fine). Thanks go to John Skillcorn for his work on our web page, which has now had about 3000 visitors. It is constantly changing and improving with excellent recent additions on orchids for the vivarium - the address, www.thebdg.org Thanks also to Marco Esposito for maintaining the accounts. The members list mentioned in the last issue will not, unfortunately be going ahead, as so many that I contacted asked for conditional entries that this made the task impossible, a great shame as it really was useful before. A Happy New Year to all. Mick Bajcar
